Mr Vicky who joined Anika in 1984, obtained his qualifications from The Australian Insurance Institute and has more than thirty (30) years experience in the insurance industry. He also sits in the Management

Committee of the Malaysian Insurance and Takaful Brokers Association (MITBA). Mr Vicky also the joint Chairman of MITBA’s Public Relation and Communication sub-committee.

Mr Tan graduated from The University Sains Malaysia with honours. With more than twenty-eight (28) years of insurance and broking experience to his credit, Mr Tan also holds a Diploma in Management.

He has attended numerous insurance management courses and the most recent course he attended was the Risks Management course conducted by The Chartered Insurance Institute of London. Prior to his appointment as Chief Operating Officer, Mr Tan was AGM heading Penang and Ipoh office.

Mr Thiam joined AIB in 1985. Since then, he has handled many large contracts from both the government and private sectors including

industrial accounts. Prior to joining AIB, he was attached to an established local insurance company. He gained valuable knowledge from the seminars and conferences which he attended. Mr Thiam is also a qualified Associate of The Australian Insurance Institute and has more than twenty-four (24) years of experience in the insurance industry.

Encik Shaiful began his career as group auditor in one of the established composite insurance company prior to joining AIB in 1997 and has been in the insurance industry for the past fifteen (15)years.

Encik Shaiful received his Bachelor in Accountancy (Hons) from The University Putra Malaysia and his MBA (Information Technology) from the International Islamic University of Malaysia. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Member of CPA Australia. He has considerable experience working with organisations at strategic level and his skill and knowledge of the market ensures delivery of a value added service to clients. Encik Shaiful now leads one of the broking units in AIB.

En Jamaluddin Mohamed graduated from Institut Teknologi Mara in 1997 with major in Accounting. Joining the workforce on the same year, Jamal has accumulated significant experience in the insurance industry and gained a lot of knowledge in insurance broking operations.

When he joined Anika in 2007, Jamal brought along 10 years of working experience, and helped to improve Finance Department’s operation. Now, Jamal moves on with his career, being given the opportunity to head the Internal Audit Department. With his knowledge and experience in insurance broking industry, he will continue to assist Anika to provide better service to the clients.

Mr Cheam obtained his Diploma from the Malaysian Insurance Institute. He also has a French Diploma in Hotel Management obtained via Hotel, Catering & Institutional Management Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Prior to his appointment with AIB, Mr Cheam was a Branch Manager with an international loss adjusting firm in Ipoh. His experience in loss adjusting has provided him with the extensive technical expertise in various classes of insurance. Mr Cheam manages our Ipoh Branch which includes servicing and development of new business.
