"Floral Nite"- 9th February 2007
The
Board of Directors, staff and their spouses from Anika Insurance
Brokers Sdn Bhd attended a colourful Anika’s dinner and dance
2007 themed "Floral
Nite"
on the 9th of February 2007 at the Concorde Hotel, Kuala
Lumpur. It was an evening where both the management and
staff had the opportunity to let their hair down, dressed glamorously
with full of enthusiasm and joy. There was also anticipation to
win attractive lucky draw prizes.
Guests were welcomed by pretty usherettes and drinks
were served before the dinner started. It was a nice time to mingle;
getting to know each other, especially the spouses. This created
an ambiance of a garden with beautiful flowers and smiles.
Once
the Guests were seated, Mr Vicky Rajaratnam,
the Dinners’ Organising Deputy Chairman gave a welcoming
speech on behalf of Puan Noraimi Alias, the
Dinner’s Organizing Chairman who was away on business.
This was followed by a motivational speech by
Mr Bobby Wong, the Chairman of Anika
who also officiated the opening of the "Floral
Nite"
by steadily hitting a gong.
For dinner, guests enjoyed both western and local
dishes in buffet style. There were various kinds of pastas, salads,
and desserts.
Staff
who have rendered 10 years and 20 years of service were presented
with special long service awards. A total of 19
staff received the 10 years award and 11 staff
received the 20 years award.
The
battle for the best staff performance saw a display of talents from
four teams. All were surprised at the revelation of multi talented
staff that performed dances, dramas, and fashion show. There was
much laughter too with the antic of the performances. The best staff
performance was awarded to Barracuda Team for their ‘Fashion
Parade’.
Guests
were dressed according to the theme "Floral
Nite"
and the best dressed award for the damsel went
to Ms Jashila while the best dressed hunk
‘in flowers’ went to Mr Chan Chee Yuen.
Both won vouchers worth RM150.
The
Karaoke competition saw Anika’s own talented
singers who belted out Malay, Chinese and English songs. The winner
was Cik Anis, while the second and third
place went to crooners Encik Rizal and
Encik Shahdan respectively.
Not
forgetting; in between the performances, there were lucky
prizes drawn, where every staff was a lucky person by end
of dinner.
The wonderful evening ended with dancing and everybody
left with a big satisfied smile in anticipation of another wonderful
dinner in the very near future.
